Mohamed Ramadan’s son accused of assaulting a child at a well-known club Ali Mohamed Ramadan suffered a health setback that prevented him from attending court sessions

In a decision that surprised many, the Child Misdemeanor Court in the city of 6th of October in Giza, Egypt, ordered the placement of Ali, son of actor Mohamed Ramadan, in a child welfare facility.

The ruling, which did not specify the length of the stay, came after Ali was accused of assaulting another child at a well-known club in Sheikh Zayed City, according to the legal team representing the victim.

Neither Mohamed Ramadan nor his son attended the hearing, while the mother of the assaulted child was present.

Ali Suffers Health Setback

Mohamed Ramadan’s defense stated that Ali suffered a health issue on Wednesday evening after learning about the court hearing. He was reportedly diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis, which caused severe pain that prevented him from attending.

The defense requested a postponement of the hearing due to Ali's health condition, but the court rejected the request. At the end of the session, the court ordered Ali to be placed in a social care facility specializing in child welfare.

Background of the Incident

The incident dates back to September, when an 11-year-old boy named Omar was playing at a club in the 6th of October City at the same time Ali, Mohamed Ramadan's son, was present.

A verbal altercation escalated into a physical fight between the two boys, during which Ali allegedly punched Omar in the face, causing visible bruises.

Giza Security Directorate received a report from the emergency police hotline, submitted by the mother of the injured child — a media company director — alleging that her son was physically assaulted by the actor’s child.

What drew additional attention was Mohamed Ramadan’s silence regarding the incident, despite reportedly being notified by the police. This prompted the victim’s mother to continue legal action, ultimately resulting in the court’s decision to place Ali in state care.
