For boiling the lentils:
250 grams green lentils
2 tablespoons finely chopped ginger
1 cinnamon stick
2 cardamom pods
2 bay leaves
Frying oil
2 diced onions
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon curry powder
Red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon chopped coriander
6 crushed tomatoes
2 finely chopped hot peppers
1 and 1/4 cups milk
Salt to taste
Yogurt and chopped coriander for garnish
