In the fifth episode of Hakawatyah segment in the second season, Bisan Awad takes us on a journey to explore the ancient town in the Gaza Strip. Its buildings date back to the Mamluk and Ottoman eras. This town is characterized by its walls and eight gates, including Bab Al-Bahr, Bab Nemas, Bab Al-Darom, and Bab Al-Manzar.
The buildings within this town vary, ranging from mosques and churches to "asbats," which are stone spaces located between houses. These "asbats" were built for security reasons and allow for monitoring the streets and ensuring safety.
