Citizens across Jordan are suffering from recurring problems resulting from the poor competence of some workers in the vehicle maintenance (mechanical) sector. They noted that many workshops do not rely on adequately trained or qualified technicians, which sometimes exacerbates malfunctions rather than repairing them.
Complaints center on inaccurate work, unnecessary replacement of parts, and significant price variations without a unified pricing.
Citizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of effective oversight of this vital sector, stressing that some workshops rely on unprofessional methods to diagnose malfunctions.
On the other hand, those with experience in this field are calling for the sector to be regulated through mandatory training programs and the licensing of mechanical technicians based on clear technical standards to ensure the provision of safe and certified maintenance services.
