Min Hunna Nabda - Worsening environmental pollution in Al-Hashimiyah District

The Hashemite District in Zarqa Governorate has long been a major industrial center in Jordan, housing a number of major factories, including an oil refinery, chemical and fertilizer companies, and purification plants. However, this economic importance has been accompanied by an escalation in environmental challenges that have directly impacted the lives and health of residents.

Residents have repeatedly complained about the Hashemite flood, which has seen the constant flow of factory water into it. This has led to the spread of insects and mosquitoes, particularly in the summer, and has become a major environmental and health hazard.
