The Salt Heritage House, a project funded by the Greater Salt Municipality in 2015 at a cost estimated at three and a half million dinars, includes wedding halls, conference and meeting rooms, rental offices, parking spaces, children"s playgrounds, and sanitary facilities.
The project was conceived to increase municipal revenues and provide job opportunities for the city"s residents. However, due to the contractor"s failure to adhere to the specifications and standards required by the municipality, the project has not been completed for ten years, placing a burden on the Salt Municipality and the local community.
The building lacks elevators, expansion joints, a glass dome, and other public safety requirements.
