Defender Yazan Al-Arab earns a Master’s degree in Sports Science ahead of the World Cup finals

The rock of Jordan’s national football team defense, captain Yazan Al-Arab, obtained a Master’s degree in Sports Science on Thursday, after successfully defending his academic thesis titled: “Evaluating Knowledge Competence in the Fundamentals of Sports Training among Football Coaches: A Comparative Study between Jordan and South Korea.”

This remarkable academic achievement comes at a critical time, as the Jordanian defender secured his postgraduate degree just weeks before joining “Al-Nashama” in the anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup matches scheduled for next June.

Following the successful defense, Al-Arab expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Jordan Football Association, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, praising the continuous support and facilitation provided under his guidance, which played a key role in completing this research despite his local and international football commitments.

He also extended his thanks to the Korea Football Association for its field cooperation during his professional stint there. Additionally, he praised the exceptional efforts of his thesis supervisor, Dr. Saleh Hammad, who traveled to South Korea to follow up on his studies. He dedicated this achievement to his parents, the examination committee, and the Jordanian fans eagerly awaiting his World Cup appearance.
