Irbid Municipality Chairman Imad Al-Azzam praised the significant efforts made by the Greater Amman Municipality in strengthening partnerships and activating fruitful cooperation between municipal institutions.

The Mayor of Greater Amman, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, visited the Greater Irbid Municipality on Wednesday, where he met with the head of its committee, Imad Al-Azzam. The two discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint municipal work.

During the meeting, both sides discussed mechanisms of cooperation and exchange of expertise between the Greater Amman Municipality and the Irbid Municipality in areas of mutual interest, contributing to sustainable urban development and improving the level of services provided to citizens.

Al-Shawarbeh: We are keen on unifying efforts and improving services

Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh stressed that the Greater Amman Municipality is fully committed to strengthening channels of continuous cooperation and expanding the horizons of joint work with all municipalities across the Kingdom.

He explained that the main goals of these partnerships are:

• Unifying joint municipal efforts.

• Exchanging best practices and institutional expertise.

• Improving services provided to citizens and enhancing quality of life in cities.

For his part, Imad Al-Azzam praised the major efforts exerted by the Greater Amman Municipality in strengthening partnerships and activating fruitful cooperation between municipal institutions, noting that the Irbid Municipality looks forward to benefiting from the extensive expertise of the Greater Amman Municipality across various municipal fields, which would positively reflect on service delivery in the city.

Al-Azzam reviewed during the meeting the most prominent ongoing projects of the Irbid Municipality, which include:

• The new central market project.

• The wedding “Hasbeh” market project.

• The downtown development and rehabilitation project.

• The development project of “Dahr Al-Tal” area.
