Youssef Helal: The project has entered its actual preparation stage The experience relies on discovering new talents

In a new artistic step reflecting his transition into a different world behind the camera, Youssef Helal, the son of Egyptian actor Hamada Helal, announced his first-ever experience in film directing through a new feature film titled “Layl Najayat Al-Eshq Al-Muharram”.

Youssef revealed via his official Instagram account that preliminary preparations for the project have begun, confirming that the film has officially entered the production preparation phase, with casting auditions expected to open soon to select new faces who will portray the film’s characters.

He addressed aspiring participants, writing: “Very soon we will begin auditions for the film ‘Layl Najayat Al-Eshq Al-Muharram’… The door is open for both males and females aged 18 and above. We are looking for real talents with passion and ambition. The full announcement is coming soon.”

He also stated that the film will be directed by him, while the screenplay and dialogue are written by young writer Moamen Hisham, in a collaboration aimed at delivering a different cinematic experience focused on discovering and highlighting young talent.

This step comes shortly after Youssef Helal appeared as an actor, making a guest appearance alongside his father Hamada Helal in the series “Al-Maddah 6”, which aired during Ramadan 2026. His appearance drew attention and paved the way for his shift toward new artistic fields behind the camera.
