Shipping begins after long delay from original launch schedule
Was initially slated for August before multiple postponements
Trump Mobile starts delivering its T1 smartphones made in the United States after months of delay from the original release timeline.
The company said pre-ordered devices have begun arriving to customers this week, after the gold-colored handset was first expected in August, then pushed to October, and later to the current week.
Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien said the delay came after several stages of development and testing to ensure component quality.
The T1 phone features a 6.78-inch display, a Qualcomm processor, a triple-camera system, and a 5,000 mAh battery, and runs on Android.
The company did not disclose how many units were pre-ordered or shipped, citing competitive reasons, but confirmed that remaining orders will be fulfilled in the coming weeks.
