- Sudden on-set injury during filming leads to hospital admission
- Condition stable after treatment and discharge for home recovery
Egyptian actress Marwa Abdel Moneim was rushed to hospital after suffering a sudden injury during the filming of a television program, following a lion cub attack during a recorded segment.
Reports say she was participating in a segment involving a lion cub when the animal unexpectedly attacked, causing her injury and briefly disrupting filming.
Dr. Ashraf Zaki, head of Egypt’s Actors Syndicate, confirmed that her condition is now stable, adding that she has been discharged from hospital after receiving the necessary medical care and is continuing her recovery at home.
Behind-the-scenes footage showed her inside a room with the cub shortly before the incident, which took place suddenly and without warning.
She was given precautionary treatment upon arrival at the hospital, including rabies prevention measures, while doctors said her injuries are not serious but required close monitoring to prevent complications.
