A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a violent crash in the Surrey–Delta border area of British Columbia, Canada, which left the bike lodged on a traffic light pole above a busy roadway.

Delta police said they were alerted shortly before 3 p.m. on Saturday after a collision involving a motorcycle and a car at an intersection.

Authorities confirmed the rider suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the car driver escaped unharmed.

Footage shared online showed the motorcycle oddly suspended above the road, drawing attention from passersby and emergency crews.

Witnesses described the scene as surreal, with some comparing it to something out of a film due to the unusual positioning of the bike.

The incident led to the closure of a section of Scott Road between 70th and 72nd Avenues as cleanup and recovery operations continued.
