Egyptian actress Nabila Ebeid revealed the details of an emotional humanitarian situation she experienced during the illness of the late artist Hani Shaker, explaining why she did not visit him while he was in a hospital in Paris, despite being in the same city at the time.

She stated in television remarks that she was keen to follow his health condition daily through continuous communication with his wife, to stay updated on his condition, especially given the long-standing good relationship between them.

She added that she tried to arrange a hospital visit, but his wife’s response deeply affected her emotionally after she said, “What would you come see?”, a phrase that remained stuck in her mind and had a strong impact on her.

The Egyptian actress also said that she did go to the hospital, but when she arrived she was unable to get out of the car due to emotional distress and overwhelming sadness, describing the moment as extremely difficult.

New drama project In another context, Nabila Ebeid spoke about developments in her new Gulf drama project, noting that it has returned to pre-production after a pause in recent months.

She explained that the production has filmed only one day so far before temporarily stopping, adding that the director is currently in Saudi Arabia and is expected to return soon to resume filming and complete the remaining scenes.

She also said that the final number of episodes has not yet been confirmed, noting that the series may consist of a limited number of episodes, with discussions ongoing regarding final production details.

The project includes a group of actors from Egypt and Saudi Arabia, in a new Gulf-style drama experience marking Nabila Ebeid’s return to the audience.
