For years, speculation about a rift between Hollywood star Julia Roberts and her brother Eric Roberts has circulated, but the American actor has now stepped in to end the rumours.

During a podcast appearance, Roberts said claims of strained relations were “not true,” stressing that their bond remains stable and positive, with only the kind of everyday disagreements common between siblings.

He also spoke warmly about his sister, describing her as a “brilliant” actress and an “extraordinary” person, while praising her role as a mother to her three children, calling motherhood “the hardest job in the world.”

Roberts added that Julia is “a wonderful and well-liked person,” saying he holds deep respect for her, even if they occasionally differ on certain views.

His comments come after previous remarks in which he discussed other members of his family, including his daughter Emma Roberts, noting that public perceptions of his family relationships are often misinterpreted.

He has also spoken in the past about his Hollywood career and family ties, at times acknowledging controversial statements he later expressed regret over and apologised for in his 2024 memoir.
