In a surprising move, American actor Ben Affleck has given up his entire stake in a luxury mansion he purchased with his ex-wife, singer Jennifer Lopez, in a deal valued at around $60 million, according to court documents that were later amended to reflect a revised ownership arrangement following the couple’s divorce.

According to information reported by TMZ, the legal filing referenced a “transfer of property between spouses,” without providing further details about the nature of the agreement. However, available information indicates that Affleck relinquished his share of the property to Lopez at no financial cost.

The couple originally purchased the estate in May 2023 for more than $60 million in cash, later investing millions more into upgrades and renovations. Despite being listed for sale since mid-2024, the property has yet to attract a buyer.

The asking price initially stood at around $68 million before being reduced to approximately $52 million in an effort to secure a sale, though no agreement has been reached so far.

Lopez is currently residing in the mansion while carrying out renovations on another property she recently acquired, leaving the estate without consistent long-term use.

Affleck’s decision, according to reports, comes amid a comfortable financial position following the sale of his tech company to Netflix in a deal reportedly worth around $600 million.

With this development, full ownership of the mansion effectively passes to Lopez, while the property remains on the market without a final deal, with expectations that she could ultimately benefit financially if it is sold in the future.
