New developments in Turkey revealed the arrest of nine individuals, including the star of the series The Doctor, İbrahim Çelikkol, on suspicion of involvement in cases related to buying, possessing, using, and distributing banned substances, as part of ongoing investigations in Istanbul.

According to Haberler, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Beykoz, in coordination with Istanbul’s Anti-Narcotics Crime Unit of the Gendarmerie, carried out a large-scale security operation on the morning of Wednesday, April 7, 2026, targeting several well-known public figures.

Based on documented evidence, reports, and verified information, nine suspects were identified and detained, including:

• Turkish actor İbrahim Çelikkol
• Singer-songwriter Mielik Davarci
• Singer Diha Belmir
• Singer Mustafa Cagli
• Singer-songwriter Ersay Üner
• Singer Benjo
• Aslı Cibahi Haji Suleimanoglu
• Ilkay Şenjan

The detainees are expected to be transferred to a hospital for medical examinations before being sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution for tests related to banned substance use.

After completing these procedures, the suspects are expected to give their statements before the Public Prosecutor, who will decide whether to release them or refer them to the judiciary based on the investigation results.
