The story began when Jano Faghali, who holds Spanish citizenship and is married to an Egyptian, posted an emotional message from inside a hospital in Cairo via social media, expressing her difficult situation as her residency was about to expire and she was unable to complete the procedures due to her husband’s deteriorating health condition caused by cancer.

Her appeal carried gratitude toward Egypt, as she said: “I am the niece of the one who made us love Egypt.. My husband is battling illness and cannot help me, and I am confident that you will not let me down,” in words that touched the feelings of followers.

Shortly after the message spread, the concerned authorities at the Ministry of Interior directed immediate action, sending a specialized team from the Passports and Immigration Department to the hospital without requiring her to attend, respecting her humanitarian situation and her husband’s health condition.

In a humanitarian scene inside the hospital room, the procedures were completed, documents were checked, and her residency was officially renewed, ensuring her legal stability without forcing her to leave her place beside her husband during these difficult circumstances.
