The Asian Football Confederation announced the postponement of the draw for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, which was originally scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia on April 11, to an indefinite date, due to the current situation in the region.

The federation stated in an official statement that the decision to postpone came after careful consideration, aiming to ensure the attendance of all concerned parties without any obstacles, especially amid challenges that have also affected some Asian club competitions recently.

The draw ceremony was expected to take place in Riyadh, before the decision to postpone was made without setting a new date so far.
