A Turkish chef died while playing an amateur football game with friends during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The circulating video shows the initial moments of his sudden illness on the field, as the 39-year-old chef sat down before his friends attempted to assist him.

Turkish media reported that the chef, Ahmed Bilal Güler, suffered a heart attack while at a pitch in the city of Bolu, northwestern Turkey, near Istanbul. He was taken to the hospital but later pronounced dead.

Reports noted that Güler was spending the holiday with his family in Bolu before his death, and his body was later transferred to Istanbul for burial.

Social media users shared the video documenting his last moments, accompanied by messages of condolence for his family.
