In detail, a family of seven lost their lives after a violent collision between their vehicle and another car on a highway in Salah al-Din Province, specifically on the road connecting Baiji district and the city of Tikrit, in an incident described as horrific due to its severity and catastrophic consequences.

A security source, according to Iraqi media outlets, reported that ambulance and civil defense teams rushed to the scene immediately after the incident occurred, where the bodies were transferred to the forensic medicine department, while the competent authorities began their investigations to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.

The road where the incident took place is considered one of the high-risk routes where traffic accidents frequently occur due to high speeds and failure to adhere to traffic rules, in addition to infrastructure challenges, which increase the likelihood of such disasters.
