Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior played the role of the undisputed hero of the match, opening the scoring early in the 22nd minute after a brilliant individual effort. He then returned to shatter the “Citizens’” hopes with a decisive goal in stoppage time of the second half (90+3), confirming Real Madrid’s superiority over both legs.

For their part, Manchester City tried to fight back, with striker Erling Haaland managing to score the equalizer before the end of the first half (41st minute). However, Real Madrid’s solid defense, backed by their outstanding goalkeeper, prevented any further goals.

With this result, Real Madrid advances with a commanding aggregate score of 5–1, benefiting from their emphatic 3–0 win in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu, sending a strong message to all rivals that they are the top contenders to reclaim their European crown.
