In a tragic incident in Bursa, Turkey, a man lost his life after being electrocuted while attempting to steal from an electric pole.

The accident occurred on Pınar Street in the Gümüştepe neighborhood of the Nilüfer district. Reports indicate that the suspect, identified as Faruk Ç., climbed the pole with the intention of committing a theft.

While on the pole, he was suddenly struck by electric current, leading to his immediate death.

According to witnesses, residents who saw the man motionless on the pole quickly alerted the 112 Emergency Call Center, which responded promptly to the scene.

Local sources revealed that the victim had a prior criminal record, including two thefts and offenses involving prohibited substances. Investigators said this history contributed to the conclusion that theft was the likely motive for his dangerous climb.

Authorities also found a wire-cutting tool at the base of the pole, further supporting the theft theory. The attempt ended fatally before the man could complete his risky act.
