  • Police release tattoo details to help identify man found dead

British police have released descriptions of distinctive tattoos in an effort to identify a man whose body was discovered inside a wheelie bin.

The man, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, was found in Cash Park near Daimler Road in Coventry at 5:00 p.m. GMT on Friday.

Police say he may have been struck by a car before being moved to the location, where a member of the public discovered him inside a bin owned by Coventry City Council.

A police spokesperson added that officers are also working with the council to determine where the bin was moved from.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Poole said the force is working “around the clock” to establish what happened, identify the victim, and find those responsible for his death.

He added: “We have received several pieces of information following our appeal and are actively following up these leads. I want to hear from anyone who recognizes the descriptions of the man’s distinctive tattoos.

“I also want to hear from anyone who has noticed unexplained damage to a vehicle—perhaps belonging to a partner or relative—or anyone who has observed a sudden change in someone’s behavior.

“If you know or are responsible for what happened to this man, I urge you to come forward now so we can get the answers he deserves.”
