El Abidine shared on his official Instagram account a photo of himself with his brother, commenting: "My dear brother and my role model in life passed away this morning… May God have mercy on you, Hatim, my beloved… God willing, we will continue as you raised me."

Many Arab artists rushed to offer their condolences, praying for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased. Among them, Hind Sabri wrote: "May God bless you, Dhafer… May He have mercy on him, grant him grace, and give you patience." Dorra added: "May God have mercy on him, make his abode in paradise, and grant you patience… blessings to you, Dhafer."

Postponement of the series "Mumkin"

Meanwhile, the series "Mumkin," starring Dhafer El Abidine and Nadine Njeim, has officially been withdrawn from the 2026 Ramadan drama lineup, with its release postponed to after the holy month.

El Abidine explained that the series’ nature and large-scale production require a longer period to complete filming and all artistic details, and that the postponement aims to ensure the highest level of quality and maintain the audience’s trust.
