Gold Prices Still Lead Conversations on Social Media JD 101.8 – Price of 21-Carat Gold in Jordan
After gold prices surged earlier to unexpected levels, setting record figures that drew attention from market watchers, prices on Saturday saw a noticeable decline, restoring some balance to buying and selling activity at jewelry shops.
According to the pricing bulletin issued by the General Syndicate of Owners of Jewelry and Gold Shops, the selling price of one gram of 21-carat gold in the local market reached JD 101.8 for sale at jewelry stores, compared to JD 96.9 for purchase.
The bulletin also showed that the selling price of one gram of gold was JD 116.3 for 24-carat, JD 90.3 for 18-carat, and JD 70.6 for 14-carat gold, for sale at jewelry stores.
Consecutive Increases This decline comes after a wave of consecutive increases experienced by the yellow metal over the past period, which pushed prices to levels that many considered unexpected in the local market.
