Syrian actress Sawsan Mikhael surprised her fans and followers with shocking statements about her health, revealing the real reasons behind her absence from drama works in recent seasons. Mikhael explained that she went through a complex health crisis due to a medical error after a neck surgery, confirming that the complications affected her ability to work for a long period.

The statements came through a video she posted on her official Facebook account, in which she detailed the surgery and its resulting complications. She said: "About a year and a half ago, my neck was hurting, I did an MRI and went to a trusted orthopedic doctor, he looked at the images and told me I need a neurologist and referred me to his friend."

"Time bomb" She added that the doctor told her she was carrying what he described as a "time bomb" in her neck, where a vertebra could press on the spinal cord, warning that the situation might require surgery within a few hours. After consulting with her family, she decided to undergo the operation, but it resulted in unexpected complications. She said: "I came out of the surgery with my hand almost paralyzed, and the doctor was very worried and started giving me cortisone and vitamins until my hand started to move a little."

Mikhael explained that her condition did not improve afterward, as she began to feel numbness in her left hand and coldness in her right leg, before it progressed to difficulty walking, forcing her to decline several drama projects.

She confirmed that she underwent about three hundred physiotherapy sessions without noticeable improvement, noting that her health condition became more difficult over time. After consulting several doctors and undergoing a new MRI, most medical evaluations confirmed that the surgery was unnecessary from the start, and that what happened to her was a serious medical error.
