Security authorities in the Al-Madinah region announced on Friday the arrest of a domestic worker accused of stabbing a child to death inside his home.

The General Directorate of Public Security, in a statement on X, said the suspect was taken into custody immediately after the incident and has been referred to the relevant authorities.

Authorities confirmed that the worker stabbed the child inside the home, without providing further details about the circumstances of the incident or the child’s age.

They added that legal proceedings are ongoing against the suspect, and the case has been sent to the public prosecutor for further investigation under Saudi law.
