A terrifying accident unfolded on a street in Melbourne, Florida, when a speeding driver failed to stop and crashed into a car waiting at a traffic light.

A witness behind the scene began recording after seeing a green pickup nearly collide with other vehicles while driving recklessly. “I had a feeling something would happen, but I didn’t expect this level of destruction,” he said.

The video shows the pickup overtaking cars at high speed before striking the stopped vehicle. The driver accelerated the entire time until a last-second attempt to brake, resulting in a violent impact that sent the truck flipping through the air.

The witness noted that the white car sustained heavy damage, and both its driver and passenger were left in severe shock and critical condition.
