The announcement of the death of the young Egyptian actress and media personality Inas El Leithy on Friday evening, February 27, caused widespread shock among her audience and colleagues in the artistic community, especially after her absence from the spotlight for several years prior to her death. Her name trended on social media as fans remembered her most prominent artistic and media works.

Actress Zeinab El Abd announced the death of her friend on her Facebook page, posting a photo with an emotional message: "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return… I can’t believe it, Inas… my sister and friend has died… Inas El Leithy has passed away."

Zeinab confirmed that Inas passed away at Al Shorouk Hospital in Cairo, noting that burial procedures are taking place there, following rumors about her being in the United States at the time of her death.

Egyptian media outlets quoted sources close to the late actress saying that her death resulted from a severe circulatory collapse during sleep. She was rushed to the hospital as her condition deteriorated, but she passed away there.

Sources added that Inas had undergone several medical check-ups abroad to ensure her health prior to the crisis.

Inas began her journey after graduating from the Faculty of Mass Communication, Radio and Television Department, Cairo University, as a presenter on Panorama FM radio, before moving to television to host various programs such as Al Tabeeb, Gamalak, and Asaad Allah Masaakum with actor Akram Hosni.

After studying acting and directing at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, she entered the world of drama with the series "Nawaya Baree’a" in 2016, followed by works such as "Mamlakat Youssef Al Maghrebi", "Wakleenha Wal’a", and "Qanoun Omar" with Hamada Helal, then the program "Abu Hafiza" in 2019, before her last appearance in the series "Madrast Al Hob" in 2020.

Inas El Leithy’s passing coincided with the loss of several other artists and their relatives, such as Yasser Sadeq, the father of Mai Omar, the brother of Zina, and the mother of Reem Mostafa, intensifying the atmosphere of grief in the Egyptian artistic community in recent days.
