Egyptian actress Likaa’ Sweidan put an end to the speculation regarding her alleged relationship with actor Ahmed Ezz, clarifying that what was circulated was merely a joke taken out of context.

During her appearance on a television program, Sweidan stated: “I was joking when I mentioned his name; I love him as an actor and as a personality only.” She added, “Ahmed Ezz is a cultured person who cares about self-development, but the discussion about marriage was never serious.” She also explained that some media outlets extracted her statements, causing controversy that did not reflect reality.

Previously, Sweidan had discussed the qualities she seeks in a potential partner, noting that she could marry someone up to ten years younger than her, provided he is affectionate, understanding, loves to travel, and has a good sense of humor—some of the qualities she noted in Ahmed Ezz, though this does not imply any official relationship.

True Love Memories with Hussein Fahmy

Regarding her personal life, Sweidan reflected on her previous marriage to actor Hussein Fahmy, emphasizing that their relationship was built on true love, not a fleeting attraction. She stated: “It was true love, not just infatuation or impulse. After the separation, some conflicts occurred but they resolved over time.” She added that conflicts are natural in any human relationship, but handling them depends on the maturity and understanding of both parties.

Relationship with the Late Mustafa Fahmy: Respect Despite Conflicts

Sweidan also spoke about her relationship with the late actor Mustafa Fahmy, affirming that it was based on friendship and respect, despite the professional conflicts in the artistic community over different periods. She said: “I went to his funeral because he had attended my brother Ahmed’s funeral. Despite difficult circumstances like strikes and curfews, I was among the first to arrive.”

She added: “I loved Mustafa for years before meeting Hussein Fahmy. We acted together in a series, and our bond remained strong despite the conflicts in the artistic world.”
