Artist Helmy Abdel-Baqi, deputy of Egypt’s Musicians Syndicate, finally ended the mystery surrounding the masked singer TUL8TE, revealing his identity after months of rumors and guesses.

He explained on a TV program that he could not say whether TUL8TE is just a passing trend, adding: "I met him personally and he’s a good guy."

Abdel-Baqi confirmed that the real name behind the mask is rapper Mohamed Khafagy, noting that syndicate rules require him to appear in person before receiving official membership. He said: "The syndicate has to see him to give him the card. When he came and revealed himself, he was great… it’s Khafagy."

TUL8TE became known for performing with a mask, alongside a clear influence from star Amr Diab in both his music and fashion.

This influence is most obvious in his music video “Habibi Leh,” where he wore outfits similar to those Diab wore in the film Ice Cream in Gleem and rode the same red-box bicycle featured in the movie.

For two years, thousands of fans speculated about TUL8TE’s true identity—whether he is Amr Diab’s son, a well-known rapper, or a young singer using the mask to attract attention.
