The death of the late Hamza Hamad sparked widespread discussion on social media after a horrific traffic accident in the Ras Al-Ain area, when the vehicle collided with an advertising board.

New details from a survivor of the incident reveal the last moments before Hamza’s death. She said Hamza was sitting in the front seat and moved back to allow her to board the vehicle.

She noted that the driver was speeding excessively despite her urging him to slow down. He continued driving fast, overtook another car, and then collided with a median before hitting an advertising board.

Diabetic Episode The accident claimed the lives of both the driver and Hamza, who was preparing to graduate soon from the University of Jordan’s Faculty of Engineering. He was known as a diligent student with big dreams for a better life. Activists also noted that the driver was fasting and suffered a diabetic episode, which contributed to the tragic accident.
