Islam Reda, the brother of actress Zina, passed away early Tuesday, according to an announcement by his brother Hamada Reda on his Instagram account.

Hamada posted a message on Instagram Stories mourning his brother, expressing his deep sorrow and confirming that the funeral prayer would take place after the noon prayer at Hassan El-Sharbatly Mosque in New Cairo.

He wrote: "To God we belong and to Him we shall return… My brother and my son, the only one I have after God, has passed away."

The late Reda had drawn widespread attention after sharing a photo on Instagram days before his death, which followers interpreted as a hint at his impending passing.

He captioned the image: "The one who fears separation the most is the first to say goodbye… bye without farewell."

The family has not officially disclosed the cause of death, while Egyptian media reported that he died of a sudden heart attack.
