One of the co-founders of a popular online fashion shopping site was found dead after falling from a high-rise apartment balcony in Thailand, local police said.

Thai authorities confirmed that the man, named Quentin Griffiths, was discovered deceased on the ground in the eastern coastal city of Pattaya.

A police investigator said Griffiths, a British passport holder, was alone in the apartment, which was locked from the inside, and there were no signs of forced entry.

An autopsy revealed no evidence of foul play.

Griffiths co-founded the fashion website in 2000 and remained a major shareholder after leaving the company five years later.

Police also noted that Griffiths was involved in two ongoing court cases, which may have contributed to psychological stress prior to his death.
