Police reported the death of a three-year-old boy after he accidentally fell into a water pool during his pregnant mother’s photoshoot in Bengaluru, India.

The incident occurred while Swathi, eight months pregnant, was taking part in a session in preparation for her second child, local media reported.

Authorities said those present at the scene did not notice the child’s fall immediately, leading to his drowning.

After some time, the mother realized her child was missing and, along with others, began searching for him until he was found in the pool, police said.

Lakshmeer was rushed for medical assistance but was pronounced dead, and a post-mortem was conducted at a government hospital.

Police confirmed that a case has been filed and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident, including whether any negligence was involved.
