Authorities in Pakistan reported a tragic crash on the national highway in the southern Sindh province on Sunday morning, leaving 11 people dead and 10 others injured, according to reports.

The incident took place in the Khairpur area when a passenger bus traveling from eastern Punjab province to the coastal city of Karachi collided with a truck carrying heavy concrete pillars, according to a rescue authority statement.

The death toll included nine passengers in addition to the bus driver and his assistant, while the bodies and injured victims were transported to a hospital to receive necessary treatment.

This accident comes just days after another crash on the outskirts of Karachi that left 14 people dead and others injured following a collision involving multiple vehicles.
