Gold prices continue to surprise Jordanians with their ongoing rise and rapid fluctuations, raising widespread questions about the reasons for this surge and its timing, amid a state of anticipation dominating the local market and a direct impact on buying and selling activity in jewelry shops.

According to the second pricing issued on Wednesday by the General Association of Jewelry and Ornament Shop Owners, the selling price of a gram of 21-carat gold in the local market reached 104.10 dinars for sale at jewelry shops, compared to 99.50 dinars for buying.

The selling price of a gram of 24-carat gold rose to 119.20 dinars, while 18-carat gold reached about 92.40 dinars, and 14-carat gold around 72.10 dinars, as gold prices continue to surprise Jordanians amid anticipation about what the prices will do in the coming days.
