The Public Prosecutor of the Major Criminal Court in the capital Amman charged a young man with "intentional murder" after he killed another using a sharp weapon ("knife"), in a crime that shook Karak Governorate and resulted in the victim’s death after receiving seven fatal stab wounds.

Verbal dispute turns into tragedy A source close to the investigation revealed that the incident began with a sudden verbal dispute between the perpetrator and the victim, after the killer heard words that he claimed the victim had said about him. This quickly escalated into a fight that ended tragically.

Case referred to the Major Criminal Court Prosecutor The source added that the Karak Public Prosecutor immediately referred the case to the Major Criminal Court Prosecutor in Amman, as he is legally competent to investigate murder cases. The Public Prosecutor decided to detain the suspect for 15 days, renewable, at the Reform and Rehabilitation Center pending investigation.

Forensic report confirms 7 fatal wounds According to the medical report, the victim was transferred to the hospital in critical condition and underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation attempts, but he succumbed to his severe injuries.

The body underwent an autopsy at the Karak Forensic Medicine Center (Karak Governmental Hospital) by a specialized medical committee including Dr. Ibrahim Al-Rawashdeh and Dr. Khaled Al-Hawamdeh. The report showed that the victim suffered seven penetrating stab wounds distributed over the limbs, chest, and back, which caused severe bleeding and death.
