A jewelry store in the Richmond area of southwest London was targeted in a daylight robbery on Saturday, when two masked men stormed the shop.

Circulating video footage on social media showed the incident occurring just before noon, as one of the men smashed the store’s windows with a hammer.

Staff inside the shop tried to intervene to stop the theft, but they were unable to prevent the suspects from taking jewelry and fleeing in front of bystanders.

Later on Saturday, the shop was seen with its broken windows boarded up, while neighboring businesses confirmed the robbery had taken place earlier in the day.
