A financial argument between a couple turned tragic in Delhi, India, after a 24-year-old SWAT officer from the Delhi Police was killed by her husband.

The victim, married to a clerk in the Ministry of Defence, reportedly had a heated argument with her husband over money matters, according to local media.

Reports indicate that the angry husband approached his wife while she was speaking to her brother on the phone and struck her on the head with a dumbbell.

The victim was taken to the hospital with severe injuries but died while receiving treatment.

Her brother said the attack occurred while he was on the phone with his sister.

A murder case has been filed against the husband, who remains in police custody.

The couple had been married since 2023 and have a one-and-a-half-year-old child.
