Indian police reported that a four-year-old girl was killed by her father in Faridabad, Haryana, after she failed to count up to fifty.

Local media stated that the incident occurred on January 21, where the family had been living in a rented house for several years.

It was revealed that the father, Krishna Jaiswal, originally from Uttar Pradesh, had been teaching his daughter at home during the day.

Police said that Jaiswal asked the child to count up to 50, and when she could not, he lost his temper and beat her repeatedly, causing her to lose consciousness.

Realizing her condition had worsened, he took her to a nearby government hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Police added that Jaiswal later called his wife, who was at work, falsely claiming that their daughter had fallen while playing on the stairs.

When the mother arrived at the hospital, she noticed multiple injuries on the child’s body, raising her suspicions, and immediately alerted the police.

During the investigation, Jaiswal confessed to the crime and admitted that he beat the child out of anger over her inability to count.

He was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.

The couple worked for a private company and had three children: a seven-year-old son, a two-year-old daughter, and the four-year-old girl who died.
