The opening of the eleventh round of the Professional Football League on Friday evening delivered intense excitement and results favoring the top teams. Al-Faisaly maintained its lead with a thrilling comeback against Al-Salt, while Al-Hussein Irbid showcased their strength with a 4-0 rout of Al-Jazeera.

Al-Faisaly Turns the Tables with Penalties At Amman International Stadium, league leaders Al-Faisaly managed to escape the “formidable” Al-Salt challenge, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

The match began with Faisaly applying pressure, but Al-Salt surprised everyone by opening the scoring in the 43rd minute through player Sheikha Smeiga, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime and putting the home side under pressure.

In the second half, Al-Faisaly staged a remarkable comeback, showing attacking brilliance that led to two penalty kicks. Star player Ahmed Al-Arsan successfully converted both, turning the deficit into a valuable win that gave “The Blue Eagle” sole possession of the top spot with 28 points, while Al-Salt remained at 15 points in fifth place.

“The King” Crushes Al-Jazeera 4-0 and Chases the Top Spot In northern Jordan, Al-Hussein had no trouble overcoming their guest team Al-Jazeera, winning decisively 4-0 at Al-Hassan International Stadium.

Arif Al-Haj opened the scoring in the 18th minute, followed by star player Youssef Abu Jalboush “Sisa” adding a second goal in the 42nd minute.

In the second half, the visitors continued to dominate as Mahmoud Khrouba scored the third goal in the 66th minute, with “Sisa” completing the 4-0 score in stoppage time (90+3).

The results of the eleventh round reshuffled the league standings: Al-Faisaly strengthened its grip on the top with 28 points, while Al-Salt remained at 15 points in fifth place.

Meanwhile, Al-Hussein ignited the race for second place with their dominant victory, temporarily rising to second with 24 points, ahead of Al-Ramtha on goal difference, while Al-Wahdat watches from fourth with 20 points and high hopes of closing the gap in their remaining match of the round, making the race for the top four fiercely competitive.
