Cold weather expected across most regions on Sunday The impact of the weather depression weakens Sunday evening over the northern and central areas

Jordan will be affected next Sunday by a new weather depression, classified as a second-degree system, which will renew rainfall in several areas, according to Arab Weather.

Depression Details: Temperatures are expected to drop slightly during Sunday daytime, with generally cold weather across most regions. Rain is expected in northern areas and will extend by late morning to include the central regions, including the capital Amman, reaching eastern areas. Heavy rainfall may occur temporarily in some areas, causing water accumulation and stream flows, according to Arab Weather.

By the afternoon, evening, and night of Sunday, the effect of the weather depression will weaken over northern and central areas, while occasional rain showers remain possible. Meanwhile, rainfall chances will gradually extend to Karak and Tafileh, especially late at night and into the early hours of Monday.

Rainfall chances continue in several areas on Monday: On Monday, temperatures will remain close to their usual averages for this time of year. The weather will be relatively cold to generally cold, with chances of rain showers in northern, central, and eastern regions, especially in the morning. From midday onward, rainfall chances will gradually decrease, and the weather will stabilize across all areas by evening.

Siberian high-pressure system extends from Monday night/Tuesday: Computer simulations indicate that the country will be influenced by an extension of the Siberian high-pressure system starting Monday night/Tuesday, bringing very cold nighttime temperatures. Temperatures are expected to drop near zero in the eastern and southern desert regions, while remaining between 2–5°C in other areas.
