The brother of Egyptian artist Sherine Abdel Wahab broke his silence after the uproar over her physical and mental condition on social media, following rumors that she had been transported by ambulance to the home of a famous artist for care.

Mohamed Abdel Wahab wrote on his personal Facebook account that the press and fans are "trash," pointing out that the situation had become extremely bad due to the circulating news about his sister, expressing his strong condemnation of the matter.

He defended Sherine and her sister, who had received and cared for the artist, emphasizing their good relationships and long-standing ties.

He concluded his post by urging everyone to leave Sherine alone, saying: "Fear God, leave her alone, and let the people who truly love her help her."

He also implicitly pointed to an unknown person behind the uproar and crises surrounding his sister, stating that this person does not wish her well nor intends to offer her help, without revealing their identity.

Social media users noted that Sherine’s brother appeared to indirectly accuse her former husband, Hossam Habib, whom they consider responsible for her artistic and psychological decline since their marriage, according to their interpretation.
