Lebanese singer Fairuz dominated the media and local scene today, Saturday, as she attended the funeral of her son Hali Rahbani, who passed away at the age of 68 after a long struggle with disability and paralysis that kept him away from the public eye for years.

In a moving scene, Fairuz held a bouquet of white flowers inscribed with: "To my beloved son," expressing the deep love and strong bond she shared with her son, who lived his life away from the spotlight under his mother's care.

Fairuz, dressed in black, sat in the reception hall for mourners at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Bkafiya, Lebanon, alongside her daughter Rima, her only surviving child, with her grief clearly visible on her face during the condolence ceremonies.

According to press reports, Hali Rahbani will be buried in a private grave within Fairuz's home garden in the Choueir area, next to his late brother Ziad Rahbani, fulfilling the Lebanese singer's wish.

It is worth noting that Hali Rahbani is the third child Fairuz has lost, following the death of Ziad Rahbani and previously her daughter Layal in 1988 at the age of 29, leaving Rima, born in 1965, as her only surviving child, amidst an atmosphere of deep sorrow and mourning over the loss of her loved ones.
