The Alexandria Criminal Court has closed one of the criminal cases that caused widespread shock, after sentencing a defendant to life imprisonment for his involvement in the killing of a young man following prior disputes that ended in a bloody crime in the Al-Amiriya area.

The details of the incident trace back to a report received by security authorities, indicating that a young man had been subjected to a brutal attack on a public road in the district. He was found with multiple stab wounds across his body before succumbing to his injuries.

Premeditated plan and revenge crime Investigations revealed that the crime was not spontaneous but the result of premeditated planning. The defendants had resolved to take revenge on the victim and had prepared knives and a firearm. Investigations also revealed that one of the perpetrators used a child to lure the victim under the pretext of settling old disputes, in an attempt to divert suspicion.

As soon as the victim arrived at the meeting place, the defendants ambushed him and attacked him with multiple stabs from different directions using knives, in a violent scene that ended with him collapsing to the ground, drenched in blood.

Motive of the crime Investigations clarified that the motive behind the crime stemmed from family disputes, following the victim’s marriage to the ex-wife of one of the defendants, which ignited a desire for revenge and drove the perpetrators to execute their criminal plan.

After completing the legal procedures, the security forces arrested the defendants and filed a report on the incident. The public prosecution began investigations, which concluded with the referral of the case to the Criminal Court, where the main defendant was sentenced to life imprisonment and ordered to pay legal costs.
