Abeer Shams Al-Din: "Misinformation Is No Longer Acceptable"
Abeer Shams Al-Din Expresses Her Frustration Over Rumors
Syrian actress Abeer Shams Al-Din has broken her silence to respond to the ongoing campaigns of rumors and fabricated news that have targeted her personal life and artistic career over the past period. She sent a firm message to those spreading this false information, emphasizing her strong rejection of anything that harms her reputation or privacy.
Abeer shared her response via her official Instagram account, posting images of pages that circulated various rumors, including false reports about her death in a Damascus hospital and statements attributed to her that have no basis in reality.
She confirmed that these actions go beyond all professional and ethical standards, reflecting the narrow-mindedness of those spreading them and a lack of any sense of responsibility toward the truth and the audience.
Shams Al-Din stressed that continuing this pattern of misinformation is no longer acceptable, especially when it turns into direct harm affecting both the individual and the artist.
Strong Presence in Ramadan 2026
On the artistic front, Abeer Shams Al-Din is preparing for an intensive drama season in Ramadan 2026, starring in two new works within the Levantine drama genre, reaffirming her status as one of the leading figures in this type of drama.
“Shams Al-Aseel” Series
Abeer stars in the series “Shams Al-Aseel”, which follows a family returning from travel after many years, triggering a series of conflicts over a child believed to be theirs, until the truth emerges and changes the course of events.
The series features a cast of prominent Syrian actors, including Dana Jaber, Wael Zidan, Amana Wali, and Laith Al-Mufti, and is written by Qassem Al-Wais and directed by Ammar Tamim, offering a fresh take on Levantine drama that combines suspense with a human dimension.
“The Orphan” Series and a Return to Ottoman Damascus
Abeer also appears in the series “The Orphan” alongside Samer Ismail, Saloum Haddad, Shukran Mortaja, and Nadine Khoury, in a drama that explores the Ottoman-era Damascus, highlighting the story of an orphan within intertwined human tales, in an engaging style that emphasizes visual enjoyment rather than a documentary approach.
The series is written by Qassem Al-Wais and directed by Tamer Ishaq.
