  • Kim takes protective step by disabling daughter's online account
  • Account disappears weeks after independent launch

Sources report that Kim Kardashian deactivated her daughter North West’s Instagram account just weeks after its independent launch.

Royal affairs expert Rob Shuter shared the information on his Substack, noting that Kim made the decision after seeing posts that concerned her.

North had shared an introductory post on the account, described as “managed by parents,” signaling a carefully curated launch.

Shuter said: “Kim didn’t like what she saw. Some of the content, comments, and attention North received were worrying, and she felt it wasn’t safe for her at this time.”

Another source added: “The account was fine at first, but Kim noticed posts and interactions that made her pause. She’s very careful and protective of her daughter — this was entirely her decision, no question.”

North’s online presence has long been a point of tension between her famous parents. A friend of the former family said, “Kim and Kanye have very different views on social media and privacy. Kim focuses on safety and control, while Kanye is more relaxed. It’s always been a balancing act.”

Another source noted that North’s age (12 years) was a major factor in the decision, explaining, “Kim didn’t want her daughter exposed to the pressures and criticism of social media at this young age.”

North’s Instagram account disappeared suddenly less than three weeks after its official launch.
