• Campaign targets several celebrities

Turkish police arrested actor Doğukan Güngör, known for his role as "Fatih" in the series Cranberry Sorbet, on charges related to drug use and trafficking.

This comes as part of a crackdown targeting several celebrities linked to drugs, involving a total of 24 suspects.

The detainees are expected to undergo medical tests, including blood, urine, and hair samples, before investigations begin, and will be released unless the prosecution decides to detain some of them.

Since October, police have carried out several early morning and nighttime raids on the homes of some celebrity suspects, with some investigations leading to further summonses, while test results have already returned positive for some.

Güngör gained widespread fame after appearing in the series Cranberry Sorbet, which aired in 2022 in Turkey and the Arab world.

He has also participated in other TV and film projects, as well as several theater productions that marked the start of his acting career.
