Finding of 5 Children Dead Alongside Their Father in Their Home Father Took His Life After Consuming “Salt Spirit”

Algerian authorities found five children dead inside their home along with their father, who is believed to have taken his own life, while their mother was rescued.

Sources indicated that the tragic incident occurred in the village of “Boumerou” in the Boumerdès province, at the time when security teams discovered the five children’s lifeless bodies, and investigations began to uncover the circumstances of the incident.

Initial investigations, according to Algerian media, showed that the head of the family died after consuming a substance known as “Salt Spirit,” while the mother also attempted to take her life. However, the intervention of neighbors prevented this, and authorities were able to rescue her. She is now receiving medical treatment in the hospital.
